Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Step-Down)

Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a step-down / progressive care unit with a patient ratio of 1:3–4
• Perform tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips and stable ventilated patients
• Operate unit equipment including lifts, chest tubes, and related devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic medical record system
• Float to other med-surg and progressive care units as needed; weekend availability required (6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience working with tracheostomy patients
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in progressive care, step-down, or IMC settings
• Strong flexibility and high level of clinical competence in a fast-paced environment
