Job Title: Travel Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) - Clinical Laboratory
Location: Cumming, GA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Nights (8:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Varying Schedule)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $1926 - $2086/ week (Includes taxable and non-taxable amount)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment in the Clinical Laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong laboratory experience, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely diagnostic testing in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Please Note: Only Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) will be considered for this position. Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) are not eligible for this assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing on patient specimens following established laboratory procedures.
• Analyze and interpret test results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures in compliance with laboratory standards.
• Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.
• Follow all hospital, laboratory, OSHA, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
• Ensure specimen integrity and proper handling throughout the testing process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist experience in a clinical laboratory.
• One of the following certifications is required:

1. ASCP
2. NCA
3. AMT
4. AAB
5. HHS

• Clinical laboratory experience with specimen testing and analysis required.
• Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and instrumentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and critical thinking abilities.
