Caterpillar is hiring a Technology Solutions Consultant to help shape the future of rental fleet technology. In this high-impact role, you'll drive global strategy and adoption of machine control, payload, safety, and efficiency solutions in partnership with Caterpillar dealers, field teams, Product Groups, and Technology leaders. You'll turn customer insights into go-to-market strategies and New Product Introduction (NPI) decisions that solve real-world challenges and deliver measurable value.

Role Summary:

The Technology Solutions Consultant leads global technology strategy and application support for Caterpillar's rental field teams and dealers, driving deployment and adoption of machine control, payload, safety, and efficiency solutions across rental fleets. This role partners with Product Groups and Technology teams to shape go-to-market strategy, deliver Voice of Rental and Voice of Customer insights, and influence NPI decisionsincluding configuration, subscription models, and competitive positioningto ensure solutions solve customer challenges and deliver value.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):

• Become the global go-to-market expert for Caterpillar rental technologies, including machine control, payload, safety, and connectivity solutions.
• Partner with Product Groups and Digital teams to bring innovative, data-driven technology solutions to market.
• Drive adoption of connected technologies that improve rental fleet performance, productivity, and customer outcomes.
• Champion the voice of the rental customer to influence product strategy, new product introductions, and commercial priorities.
• Solve real customer challenges by identifying pain points and delivering scalable solutions across global markets.
• Equip dealer teams with the training, tools, and insights needed to communicate technology value and ROI with confidence.
• Monitor adoption and performance trends to uncover opportunities for continuous improvement and greater fleet efficiency.
• Identify and expand new technology-driven growth opportunities across the global rental business.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Demonstrated experience with Caterpillar construction equipment, performance, and applications
• Ability to translate technical solutions into customer and dealer value
• Strong understanding of dealer operations and rental profitability drivers
• Proven communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Experience with 3D Grade Control, Payload, Safety tech, and VisionLink
• Background partnering with Caterpillar dealers/customers

Additional Information

• The position is located in Irving, TX, Peoria, IL or Cary, NC.
• Relocation assistance is available.
• Travel in this role is up to 35%.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
