Job Description We’re looking for a social media manager to join our social team. This role is responsible for developing original content for official social media accounts, with a particular focus on entertainment and music programming. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience creating best‑in‑class social content optimized for major social platforms and is deeply immersed in social media, internet culture, and emerging trends. A strong interest in entertainment, music, and pop culture is essential. This role requires a highly creative, experienced multi‑platform storyteller with strengths in both long‑ and short‑form original video production. The producer must be organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. They should have demonstrated experience creating social content, strong photo and video production skills (editing skills a plus), and experience working directly with public‑facing talent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to independently manage photo and video shoots and deliver initiatives on time, on budget, and on strategy while maintaining a consistent tone and style across channels. Responsibilities Develop and produce original content and creative assets for social media platforms and related channels Capture, edit, and produce photo and video content for social distribution Curate best‑in‑class content from global creators for amplification across social channels Manage the creative production process, including story ideation, creation of visual assets, information sharing, and post‑production execution Oversee external content capture teams (photo and video contractors), including providing clear creative direction, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet high quality standards Manage cross‑functional relationships and facilitate effective information sharing between internal teams Manage relationships with external partners and networks and serve as a liaison between partners and internal editorial or programming teams Analyze performance data to inform creative decision‑making at both the individual content and long‑term strategy levels Manage project statements of work, estimates, and related production parameters Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Film, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field 3+ years of experience in a creative role with an emphasis on producing assets for social media Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders Experience working with external creative and production partners Proven ability to build strong working relationships with core and cross‑functional teams Demonstrated experience producing creative content for an international or global audience Preferred Qualifications Experience developing content focused on entertainment, music, and pop culture On‑the‑ground, on‑set production experience A visual portfolio of published work Proficiency with tools such as Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and/or After Effects Experience working within a creative team that prioritizes visual storytelling Ability to thrive in a self‑starter, fast‑paced, and evolving environment Strong people skills and a genuine interest in collaborating with diverse teams and creators around the world Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
