As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI ,you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 /  Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements 

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with scene management and communication with site representatives and/or public agency partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminal areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Support access control activities by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, and directing individuals to the appropriate location or contact.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to supervision using approved reporting methods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
