Role: SAP ABAP Location: Huntsville, AL Duration: 3 years Top Three Skills: 1. Candidate must have previous experience with ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming). Writes, modifies, and debugs software for client applications.
2. Previous experience with specific modules under SAP including: Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), and/or Program Integration (PI)
3. Candidate must have the ability to interpret business requirements and implement necessary technology to fulfill requirements.
Job Description: These positions can be either Contract or Contract to Hire, depending on candidate preference. All candidates must be US Citizens and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (interim clearance acceptable). Conversion salary cannot exceed $140K, but to meet this candidate must be exceptional.
SAP is the overall umbrella. There are multiple modules underneath it. The specific modules they are looking for people to have experience with are called Plant Maintenance (PM), or Materials Management (MM). They will be looking for these terms on the resume. GCSS-Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution, is an automated information system that serves as the primary tactical logistics enabler supporting Army and Joint transformation for sustainment. GCSS-A serves as the primary enabler to satisfy the Army's vision of a technologically advanced ERP that manages the flow of logistics, resources and information to meet the Army's modernization requirements.
The PM has two different teams that are working for them right now. They work is mostly performed at the customer site, which is why most people need to be cleared. This is a changing requirement. They are working on carving out space at SAIC which will then not require secret clearance.
• Morning Stand-up each day. Review what they are working on, issues and what help is needed.
• Work within the teams daily on responsibilities
• Attending group meetings for design and review of requirements.
Responsibilities: • Leads and participates in code and design reviews
• Designs and ensures unit and integration testing is completed to ensure quality.
• Writes increasingly complex code to create single-threaded or user interface event driven applications, either stand-alone or those which access servers or services.
• Develops code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified time frame according to departmental standards and guidelines.
• Identifies and reports problems in new and existing software.
• Writes, modifies, and debugs software for client applications.
• Develops the critical components of the solution, including but not limited to, security, rules infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, and application interfaces.
• Interprets business requirements and implements the necessary technology to fulfill requirements.
• Serves as the primary technical lead for projects at the enterprise level, analyzing existing application interfaces, schemas and data needs.
• Supports completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production
• Identifying and analyzing existing RICEFW to recommend changes needed to meet Aviation specific needs while maintaining existing Ground-based functionality.
