Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist Application Development

Blu Omega is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support enterprise ServiceNow operations and enhancements under a long-term federal blanket purchase agreement. This role operates in a fully remote environment, with candidates required to reside in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. The position is responsible for developing and implementing quality control methodologies within a large computer-based organization, ensuring compliance with QA standards, policies, and procedures. The role supports evaluation of hardware, software, and documentation, and conducts formal and informal quality reviews throughout the development lifecycle. The position requires experience supporting quality assurance in IT programs, preferably within ServiceNow support environments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop quality metrics, scoring parameters, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Evaluate hardware, software, and associated documentation.
  • Conduct formal and informal quality reviews at various stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain processes for evaluating quality aspects across projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Experience supporting quality assurance within large organizations
  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies, policies, and procedures
  • Experience evaluating hardware, software, and documentation
  • Ability to conduct SDLC quality reviews
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal IT programs
  • ServiceNow support environment experience
  • Familiarity with ITIL, CMMI, or similar quality frameworks

Compensation Salary Range: $85,000–$105,000/year Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
