Role Summary/Key Objectives

The Operations Project Manager will be a key member of the Operations team responsible for the planning and execution of all offshore related projects. This position will be responsible for managing all project activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Area of Responsibility

  • Lead and manage offshore well operations and maintenance projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule while adhering to EDR Process Flow Chart.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and monitor progress against established targets.
  • Work together with Project Well Engineers to provide EDR services to clients.
  • Ensure full comprehension of customer contract terms and conditions, responsible for equipment MOC (Management of Change).
  • Facilitate project delivery with the Project Delivery team to complete installation, commissioning and successful hand from Project Delivery post first well support.
  • Act as an authority for overseeing, witnessing, being a signatory, ensuring compliance with EDR procedures, and completion of installation and commissioning of EC-Drill® systems.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project deliverables.
  • Ensure contractual terms are met, contributing to negotiations for new projects and proposals.
  • Provide quality assurance and documentation oversight on projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and EDR HSEQ system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a work environment, culture and systems that foster best-in-class execution of operations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Monitor project expenses and track budget utilization, adjusting as necessary to optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including management, engineering, and clients.
  • Manage the internal Synergi ticketing system for non-conformances and follow up on actions.
  • Lead project meetings, communicate project objectives and expectations, and facilitate problem-solving and decision-making as needed.
  • Raise the profile of EDR globally in everyday activities through operational excellence.
  • Share lessons learned and collaborate across the EDR teams to enhance and continuously improve operations.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for process improvement.

Competence

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the offshore industry
  • Strong understanding of offshore project operations, including engineering, procurement, installation, drilling, and commissioning
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to effectively organize complex plans, including last minute changes and other challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software/systems easily
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
  • High level of ethics and integrity
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality stewardship

  • Very good written and verbal communication skills (English), bilingual in Spanish is a plus

HSEQ Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Enhanced Drilling HSEQ policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the project-level focal point for HSEQ performance, ensuring HSE is effectively integrated into all phases of project planning, execution, and close-out.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership by supporting Enhanced Drilling’s “Zero Harm” culture, participating in HSE initiatives, and reinforcing Stop Work Authority.
  • Stop any work that appears unsafe and ensure appropriate escalation and follow-up actions are taken.
  • Ensure timely reporting of unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses, and coordinate HSEQ incident management within assigned projects, including following the Regional / Country Emergency Response Plan as required.
  • Ensure all incidents are accurately reported and managed within Synergi, including assignment, tracking, and follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Lead or support incident investigations as required, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective and preventive actions are established.
  • Monitor and support the closure of HSEQ actions, ensuring actions are completed on time, evidence is documented, and effectiveness is verified prior to closure.
  • Integrate HSE risk management into project execution by ensuring risk assessments, JSAs, and control measures are developed, reviewed, and implemented.
  • Monitor project risk registers and ensure mitigation measures are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with Enhanced Drilling HSEQ standards, procedures, and applicable client requirements.
  • Support environmental compliance by ensuring proper waste segregation, handling, documentation, and disposal in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support HSEQ audits, inspections, and reviews, and ensure timely follow-up and closure of identified actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement by supporting lessons learned, sharing best practices, and contributing to improvements in HSEQ performance.

  • Within local Houston area between offices as necessary
  • International travel to Head Office (Norway) and customer locations for meetings, training, competency initiatives, management reviews, etc.
  • Offshore as required for HSEQ initiatives, installations, and other projects

General Authorization and terms (RACI)

Understanding of authorization process and ability to report up to proper management if errors and corrections occur, as needed. Authority per Enhanced Drilling Authorization Matrix.
