Quick Facts

• Shift: 24-hour shifts; rounding during the day, on-call from home

• License/Certs: CBC Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP) required
• Experience: 2+ years as NNP (excluding RN experience)

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care for a newly established Level I nursery with about 600 deliveries/year
• Perform daily rounds and manage newborns during shifts
• Attend deliveries and stabilize newborns as needed
• Facilitate transport and collaborate with higher-level NICUs in Charlotte and Gastonia
• Participate in developing neonatal protocols for the new facility
• Support the care team in ensuring optimal neonatal outcomes

What You Need

• Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (must have current certification, cannot accept FNP or PNP)
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an NNP (excluding RN experience)
• Strong neonatal clinical skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This position is based at a leading facility in Belmont, NC, set to open a new 10-bed Level I nursery late 2024. The role involves managing newborns, attending deliveries, and coordinating transfers to specialized NICUs in Charlotte and Gastonia.
