Position Overview

As an Automotive Technician at Grubbs, you will:

  • Diagnose and repair luxury vehicles using manufacturer procedures and advanced diagnostic tools

  • Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure new vehicles meet dealership quality standards

  • Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, and inspections

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and a safe, organized work environment

  • Provide accurate service recommendations to customers

  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with the latest automotive technology

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately diagnose vehicle issues using experience, tools, and manufacturer procedures

  • Perform routine maintenance, service repairs, and inspections

  • Conduct pre-delivery vehicle inspections to ensure customer-ready quality

  • Maintain clean and safe workspaces and adhere to shop standards

  • Complete accurate service documentation and comply with all regulations

  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers

  • Support overall shop efficiency through inventory, organization, and teamwork

  • Attend required training and service meetings

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (Associate/Bachelor ’s preferred)

  • Minimum 1 year of dealership or high-volume shop experience ( luxury brand experience preferred )

  • ASE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain

  • Strong mechanical skills and diagnostic ability

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record

  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic

  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work in various conditions
