Cybersecurity Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our global security operations team for a 1-year tenure. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with industry-leading, enterprise-grade security platforms. You will be responsible for providing First-Level (L1) Support, monitoring security alerts, and assisting in maintaining our global security baseline across endpoints, networks, and vulnerability management streams.

In this role, you will gain direct, practical experience with top-tier enterprise security tools (S1, Qualys, Zscaler, BitSight) Mentorship from experienced Cybersecurity Engineers working on a global scale A comprehensive understanding of enterprise incident response and vulnerability management lifecycles

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will:

  • L1 Security Monitoring & Support: Act as the first line of defense by monitoring incoming alerts, triaging basic security incidents, and escalating complex issues to senior engineers
  • Endpoint & Network Security Support: Assist in managing daily alerts and health checks within SentinelOne (S1) and Zscaler platforms
  • Vulnerability Tracking: Help monitor, track, and report on organizational vulnerabilities and asset compliance using Qualys
  • Third-Party Risk Monitoring: Monitor and document external security posture metrics and third-party risk ratings via BitSight
  • Ticket Management: Document, track, and resolve first-level security requests and access issues within the IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing system
  • Documentation: Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for L1 troubleshooting workflows

About you:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Strong foundational understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing) and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental cybersecurity concepts (e.g., malware, phishing, firewalls, and encryption)
  • Analytical Mindset: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to spot anomalies in logs or alerts
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and documenting incidents
  • Eagerness to Learn: A proactive attitude toward mastering enterprise security tools and methodologies
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity or academic exposure to any of the following tools: SentinelOne, Zscaler, Qualys, or BitSight is a plus
  • Academic projects or certifications related to security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar entry-level certs) is preferred
