Job Description: Chinese-Speaking Legal Assistant (Mandarin Required) – Personal Injury Law Office Location: Edmonds, Washington Position Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive, DOE, $21-25 Languages Required: Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) Languages Preferred: Cantonese a plus Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant fluent in Mandarin to support our team in handling car crash and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for our Chinese-speaking clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout the legal process. Key Responsibilities Provide interpretation and translation services (Mandarin required; Cantonese a plus) for client communications, legal documents, and meetings Conduct intake interviews with potential clients and obtain initial case details Maintain communication with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other parties involved in personal injury claims Organize, draft, and file legal documents, correspondence, and medical records Schedule appointments, depositions, and court dates as needed Track case timelines, manage deadlines, and assist attorneys with case preparation Ensure client files are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards Qualifications Fluent in Mandarin Chinese; Cantonese proficiency is a plus Previous experience in a law office or in personal injury or insurance claims is strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software Preferred Qualifications Experience with car accident cases, medical record collection, and insurance company communications Knowledge of Washington State legal procedures related to personal injury Customer service or client-facing background in a legal or medical setting Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Health benefits (if applicable) Opportunities for growth and legal training within the firm Supportive, multilingual team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
