Certified Medication Aide
Job Summary:
Avir at Webster is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a critical role in our continuing care retirement community by providing high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities:
Administer medications to residents as directed by a licensed nurse
Conduct vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Work closely with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and medications
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry best practices
Requirements:
Must be a certified Medication Aide in the state of Texas
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
