Job Description The District of Arizona includes approximately 180 Assistant United Attorneys across Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, and Flagstaff. It faces unique geographical challenges, a 375‑mile border with Mexico, significant Indian Country dockets, and serves as the exclusive felony prosecutor for most federally‑recognized tribes in Arizona. AUSAs will investigate and prosecute cases involving illegal immigration, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and support to cartels and transnational criminal organizations, including those designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). Responsibilities grow in complexity with training and experience. Qualifications J.D. Degree and active membership in the bar of any US jurisdiction. United States citizenship.
