The USAO represents the federal government in a broad range of civil litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, employment discrimination, immigration, prisoner litigation, and policy challenges. Responsibilities Day‑to‑day duties include: Gathering client information and preparing motions Responding to discovery requests Defending depositions and retaining experts Negotiating settlements Trying cases Briefing and arguing appeals Responsibilities will increase in complexity as training and experience progress. Qualifications Required Qualifications: J.D. degree Active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction Minimum one year of post‑J.D. legal or other relevant experience United States citizenship Applicants must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
